The A.G.A Group supplies and installs a variety of sizes of floating modular reedbeds; these may be utilised individually or joined together to build up a much larger structure suitable for industrial effluent control. These reedbeds provide an ecologically sound bio-engineering technique to effluent control which is both aesthetically pleasing and effective. These floating reedbeds can also be gravel filled at the base to maximise their filtration potential for industrial purpose effluent control.
Reedbeds are very efficient filters that incorporate aerobic, anoxic and anaerobic zones where large populations of micro-organisms break down contaminants. Coarse solids are held on the surface where they gradually decompose. Finer solids penetrate the bed and become trapped and digested in the microbial layers that cover the rhizomes (underground stems), rootlets and gravel surfaces.
The A.G.A Group has specalised in installing such reedbeds for the last 20 years and is at the fore-front of the bioengineering industry working in tandem with organisations such as the Environment Agency, Natural England and UK Water to protect and enhance our waterways and wetlands.
Wetland ecosystems specially designed and engineered to treat wastewater and sewage.
